The Happy Man is neither fancy nor fussy, but we’re not chef-a-la-ping. Although the days of 'chicken in a basket' are long gone, we’re no pretentious gastropub. We serve fresh and seasonal ingredients, all home cooked.

Like our slow roasted Pork Belly or Chicken Tartiflette, washed down with a hoppy ale. Or our speciality butcher’s or ploughman’s boards, complimented by a glass of deep Australian Shiraz. Not to mention our beer battered haddock served with homemade tartar sauce, delightful with a cool and crisp Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio.
All good old British food, even a sandwich (we don’t do baguettes, ciabattas or wraps). And let’s not forget our Happy Man’s famous Sunday lunches, with meat supplied by our local butcher Ansell - but always best to let us know you're coming! Head Chef
